My buddy and CDF contributor Mark Komo moved back to Chicago this past weekend. I'm quite bummed but this was not a "I didn't like WNY" move but rather a family related move.
It gave me pause today as I reflected on it. We both were complete strangers who shared input on WNY here. He posted about a place or 2 we both frequented. Met at one of them and had a beer. Since that time in Oct we became really good friends. Went to a Bills game together, met out at restaurants/bars numerous times, our girlfriends even became friends. Add to all that, as a CPA, he reviewed and filed my taxes for me! I'm already planning a visit to Chicago once he is all settled in. This my friends is the power of the internet and the power of CDF. Let's all try to use it to make friends and help each other instead of bickering over which part of town is best. All of Western New York has a ton to offer. I submit to you the people are #1 and they are in every city/town/village in the area!
