We are traveling into Buffalo from Penn Yan (about 2 1/2 hours) on Thursday with our four small children. We will possibly be visiting the Science Museum, but will more likely attend to our business and then head home fairly quickly, as we have chicks hatching that day...lol.

If we do just head home, we'd probably like to stop at a McDonalds with an indoor play place. Which ones are decent and which ones should we stay away from?

Edit: Oh yeah, our business is at the USCIS building in the city. We would prefer to not have to go too far out of the way home to stop at a McDonalds, lol!

There's one on Elmwood Avenue in North Buffalo (next to Home Depot). It's a bit of a drive from downtown, but the only one I know of with a play place in the city.

The science museum is nice for a day trip. I can only think of the playplace at Elmwood next to the Home Depot which is a bit of a ways from the museum. If you go to the museum you could do McD's as a drive thru...

That one on McKinley doesn't have a play place anymore. The closest one would be that one on Elmwood.

Maybe we are thinking of different ones. I was at this one a month ago and the play place was there.

Going to Hamburg takes sweetpea away from the trip back to Penn Yan. Just a thought.

The McDonlads website has a great tool for finding play places and it has a really neat road trip tool too.

Restaurant Locations Results :: McDonalds.com

You can find all the play land type places on your route within a certain radius, like 1/2 mile so if your kids are screaming and need to de-energize, you can simply use the tool and find one very conveniently. They can run around and burn off the excess energy while you surf the net and drink a (surprisingly good mcdonalds) coffee.
