I am wondering how these two colleges are in the Buffalo area.

1. Are these two (Canisuis and Niagara) underrated because of University at Buffalo?

2. How are the computer science programs at those two schools?

3. How are the athletics and track and field teams at those schools?

4. How is the school pride at these schools? Like school pride in attendance at football and basketball games and students wearing school gear?

5. What is a good ACT/SAT/GPA to get accepted to these schools?

I am asking these questions because a runner on the track team at my high school is interested in those two schools.

Just as a heads up, Niagara and Canisius do not have Football teams, but Basketball and Hockey are pretty big at both of these schools. They are in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference(aka the MAAC). So, think of Marist in the area you live in, as they are in the same league.

Both are small liberal arts colleges affiliated with the Catholic Church although the religious aspect is pretty limited, particularly if you're non-Catholic. Canisius is located in the heart of the city of Buffalo, and its campus is very urban. Niagara is located north of Niagara Falls, NY in Lewiston, NY so it has more of "typical" college campus that you would find in a college town.

I think that SUNY Buffalo is harder to get into than either Canisius or Niagara simply because it has state-wide appeal as one of the largest SUNY schools and is much better known outside of Western New York.
