The wife and I are driving up next week for a graduation. Are there any polish deli's in the area that sell meats and sausages?

I think your best bet is the Broadway Market at 999 Broadway near Fillmore Avenue in Buffalo's old Polish neighborhood which in Redlinski's Meats is located. There are other meat vendors there.

Another choice, at the other end of the city, is Spar's European Sausages at 405 Amherst Street near Grant Street and the Scajacquada Expressway. Spar's is smaller, but it offers lots of unusual sausages and meats.

Thanks, we're going to be staying downtown but I don't mind driving for some real kiszka and head cheese.

Fafnir. Did you ever work for Fafnir in the Hartford area? First time I've seen this name since I lived in the Hartford area.

If you can't find a Deli in the Buffalo area that has what you are looking for I think you can find one in Pittsburgh, if you happen to pass through there.

One block or two to the east of this place: Pittsburgh Italian Import Store | Italian and Artisanal Cheese On Penn Ave. is a Polish Deli. Stopped in there at Thanksgiving and noted they have a ful deli and a variety of other Polish products. Don't recall the name but the food is authentic and the people working there seem to know the products quite well.

I know there was a authentic Polish Deli and market in a small town east of Utica (Ilion I think) that I stopped at 15 years ago. If they are still around they might have what you are looking for. That would be quite a drive from Buffalo though.

Spars is great. Also:
Check Sloan Market for many sausages.
Chrushiki Bakery ( one is at Broadway Market, there are others) for Polish pastries
