How to get from BUF (Airport) to Niagara Falls, ON?

... there's a Greyhound, but it leaves about 4 hours before or after our flight.
I'm seeing Van service but $140 USD seems a little steep for a short ride.

Anyone have any better ideas?
Wouldn't mind a rental car under $100 for the day... haven't seen any yet leaving the country.

Thanks in advance.

Rental car. No Rental car costs $100.

You rent them right at the airport.

I use Alamo. I think last time I checked Buffalo airport, they were $15-$20 a day before taxes and fees for a small sized category. Book online, you get 5% off for paying up front.

In Buffalo metro, you need a car.

I believe the rental car costs escalate incredibly when taking them over the border.
Hence the expensive one-way rental, I'm seeing 200$ minimum for a 24 hour rental. Seems robbery.

Didn't know you were doing one-way. Yep, you're gonna pay alot if you're taking a rental car from one country to another and leaving it there.

You can get an airport limousine for around $75. They cross the border all the time.

Doesn't seem like there's a great reason behind that. If rentals can operate between the two countries, and the offices are 5 miles apart- the escalated fee seems excessive.
