I'm looking for a cheap roundtrip bus ticket from Buffalo to NYC during the holidays (late Nov or late Dec). You can get $40 roundtrip during other times, but during the holiday season they jack up the prices. Is there any way to get a roundtrip ticket for cheap during the holiday times?

The NYC hotel prices are also jacked up during the months you mentioned. In my limited experiences I have found the NYC hotel prices to be cheapest during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of January.

Yes very true. This isn't a problem for me because I'm a UB student who was born and raised in NYC. As a tip, for a cheaper hotel prices, stay at the Ramada Hotel in Jamaica, Queens. And then you can take a 40-45 min subway ride to Midtown Manhattan for $2.75. And the subway is only two blocks away. Much better than paying for overpriced hotel and food in Manhattan.

Find someone to share a ride for company and split gas??

Tons of students there from NYC.

As an aside, as I recall, UB is a very popular university in NY because it is as far away as you can get from your parents and still qualify for in-state tuition and in-state grants.
