Its always busy when I go. Staff is super nice and friendly and even when they run out of things I like, I just buy extras when they get back in stock. Its like an Aldi with health foods and they share some kind of connection.

The starting pay for an employee at Whole Foods Market, a natural-foods store, is $11. The average hourly pay for employees in 2013 was $18.89, according to a company report. 6 of 10. This is a lot more than Wegmans pays according to the website.
Did a one-year membership at Costco and dropped it. It's not for everyone.
For us:
- Not near our house, horrible parking on the weekend, so the time and effort was not worth it.
- You are shopping in an ugly warehouse.
- The lines are forever.
- Guaranteed you will buy stuff that you would not have bought (and don't need) if you were not a member. I wasted 60 bucks on a cool-looking space heater, and 20 bucks on fancy dog biscuits, for example.
- If you don't have a second fridge/freezer, you will buy one. Add that cost and the monthly electricity cost.
- You will buy larger portions of perishables than you did before. So the price per pound will be less, but the actual price will be the same, and you end up eating more and getting fatter.
- No employees to help you find stuff.
- Do you really want to buy 24 cans of tuna fish?
- Do you really want to eat that gross lunch special that has the same price as 1985?
You are better off shopping the circulars and going to stores close to your house. Between Wegman's, CVS, Walgreen, and whatever other stores you like, you will actually save money, along with time and aggravation, than if you shop at Costco.
One thing you will notice at Costco is the number of wagons loaded with paper towel. I hardly use any paper towel. That's why we have sponges, which are cheaper. And you can buy paper towel on sale for just a little more at other stores.

Yes, but doesn't Wegmans offer $2000 per year scholarships to even it's part time help amongst other things?
Anything less than 90 degrees is downright cool. Below 70 is cold. You do not have to shovel heat.
Agree strongly, been in Central Texas for 5 years now. It was in the low 70's one morning a few weeks ago, I wore a jacket.
People don't even get in the pool around here unless it is 100 degrees outside.
95 degrees is absolutely perfect, you adapt, I did within a year of living here.
Going back to NY to visit relatives soon and I'll freeze.
