Buffalo: 259,517 Residents, and only 67,555 are employed full-time. That means only 26% of Buffalonians have a full-time job. That's awful.

The rest are paid for by the taxes of the suburbanites.

According to 2010-2014 census info, about 51.8% of the city residents were between the age of 25-64. So, when you take out those in HS and college(36.4% are 24 and under), retired old timers(11.8% are 65 or older) and those in the initial age range that aren't/can't(disability, etc.)/won't/looking for work or are working part time(1 or multiple jobs), that is how you get to that percentage, give or take.

A troll throwing stones in a glass house? I'm sure Pittsburgh is around the same percentage employment wise. Isn't Pittsburgh bankrupt and still under state oversight? They don't have a robust tax base there either and suburbanites make all the money and leave refusing to pay another dime in Pittsburgh's coffers

Since when am I a troll? I actually quite like Buffalo and was on here recently to praise the city during my recent vacation there.

Making a comment about about the awful employment numbers. Is Pittsburgh that much better? Lately the job growth there appears to be worse than here. Pittsburgh is nice to visit but it lacks jobs much like here.
