From January through November of 2016, the Town of Lancaster has seen 170 new homes built. That number is the highest for any town in the big upstate metros, including Albany. Nearly 1,000 homes have been built since 2010.

Anywhere else 170 new builds would be considered just one very small sub division. Just shows you how depressed WNY's Economy really is and how outta touch and uneducated the people are there. Just when they think they have something to be proud of or brag about, It's just the exact opposite.

You also have to keep in mind that Buffalo is a pretty built out area versus areas that have had plenty of land to build on for the past few decades.

More then half of the City of Buffalo is empty, a lot of streets only have 2 or 3 house's left becuse they were all burned down or are/were cracks house's, they are turning some of the vacant lots into urban farms and gardens. Half of Lancaster is rural & farming

There is still about 41,000 people in the area that cover the Lancaster SD and I don't know if half of the city is empty.
That's an easy one. Wasn't Buffalo's population about 550,000 around 1960? Now it's about 250,000.
If you're talking metro, it's about -400,000.
And yet that's with population boom of refugees & immigrants coming from different countries
for the freebies & highest welfare in the country and that's why Buffalo looks just like Kabul Afghanistan
