our loser lying politicians will campaign on a re-election platform of "see we didn't raise taxes" and conveniently leave out the part where the raise the fees and expenses everywhere else to make up the lost revenue of having more productive people leaving this state being replaced by more refugees and social service recipients.

SOCIAL PROGRAMS ARE NOT FREE. someone pays for it.
this stupid idea to make college free. is a lie. someone pays for it.
everytime a productive tax payer leaves and is replaced by a refugee, our tax burden is increased.

this state is really good at making it difficult for business to prosper here. there is a reason so many move to other states with less government regulations, taxes and mandates.

Forget other states, try countries, as the national rates are high in comparison to other countries. It more global now now versus other states now.

disagree, erie county is stuck with the same ridiculous, expensive and burdensome state forced regulations, taxes and fees as rockland, Wyoming, Niagara, chautaqua, steuben etc..

states like Texas, Tennessee, North & South Carolina etc.. are all booming because they are attracting companies looking to have a more business friendly environment.

NY is very ANTI business unless it is government related. The only business they care to grow is expanding the government and leeching every penny from citizens and the private sector they can.

Even within those states, there are industries that have been decimated like the Textile industry in NC and companies still come and go.

You also have to ask why do some states with a lower tax burden still struggle economically or aren't as economically prosperous as other states.

Even NY has had recent job announcements adding jobs. So, it can go both ways in spite of the real/perceived business climate. Here is an interesting article about this: Analysis: Do Business-Friendly Tax Climates Yield The Most Jobs?

Yes and existing North Carolina businesses ought to be pissed that they are paying tax dollars to attract new businesses. The "booming" you are talking about in NC and Tennessee has do to with incentives being given to companies that local citizenry pay for.

I live in WNY and hate the "buffalo billions". It's our own tax money being wasted and given out as political kickbacks. and we get to deal with the high taxes, fees and regulations on top of it.
