Probably the same reason there are no Tim Horton's in Texas.
No distribution channel going to the area at the current time.
How is the Sonic doing in Cheektowaga? We have Sonic all over the south, they are only useful for teas and drinks, the food is terrible. WNY has a bunch of good hotdog/hamburger places I would think Sonic wouldn't be a winner in the area.
There are a couple of Sonics in Rochester. I've never gone, no reason, but there're still there, so they must be making their numbers. There are a couple of DQ's too. Went to one once a couple years ago. The food wasn't very good. I guess they make it on their milkshakes. I agree with JH6, the local places are much better.

You are complaining that there is no Chick-Fli-A in Buffalo. But it cuts both ways. I am complaining that there is no Mighty Taco or Ted's Hot Dogs anywhere here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Reason: wrong taco
Chick is national somewhat, mighty isn't that is why
I often wondered/ wanted Mighty Taco to open in Rochester. There's been 2 for a while now. Unfortunately now that they are here, I'm not so impressed. I would say that Moes has that market tied up. Not sure if there's room for MT to expand without differentiating themselves. Are there Moes or another competitor in Buffalo (chain)?
Good question. N9 idea why, but I would guess our culture is not southern enough for them. By not southern enough, I mean not southern at all.
Its not a question of being southern enough for them - its a franchise. "They" don't just come and open up a store. Someone has to decide to open one in Buffalo, and then that someone will enter a franchise agreement with Chick-fil-a. Then "they" will come.
What is competition here? Should have been here long time ago. I was in Erie and that said they get alo of folks stopping there from you guess it WNY
