Hey, I'm going to look for apartments later this month. I have a place in mind in Williamsville but I want to have a few back up options.
I've been looking at CL and other apartment websites. It's hard to know the real story though. I do like ?Village Pines in OP, it looks cool. Are there any places you guys can recommend to see/stay away? I'm looking for suburban areas not Buffalo.
Looking for
1br
Under 1k, ideally $875ish
Large dog friendly
Safe, no section 8
Prefer
Washer/dryer and dishwasher
Some utilities included like water, trash, heat
I'm flexible to check out places but I was trying to see if any locals had knowledge. I looked for reviews but many places don't have any.
I guess I'll just make a list and if I like one, I can always go to the police station and get safety info.
Williamsville is a safe bet and closer to more things. Orchard Park is in the snowbelt if that matters to you, but its a nice safe area. Most of the locals here are or were long time residents and not apartment dwellers. Will you be commuting to work?
Take a look at padmapper, it does a good job of laying the various apartment search webpages onto a map, and you can filter by your budget/requirements.
Where are you working?
I would not consider anything south of buffalo, the snow is far greater than what my parents/friends get in Lockport/Tonawanda/Grand Island.
I'm not sure what my job location will be. I asked for a safe area in the north towns. Hopefully, I'll know what area I'll be in soon. I know it's Erie county and not the city.
