Hopefully others will actually address the thread with legitimate suggestions. I know they got it in them...Oh and the Rainbow Bridge is just across town, but traffic can be no joke, especially on the weekends. So, keep that in mind.

Living in Niagara Falls NY? Only a bot would suggest that.

If you are willing to look in that general area north of Buffalo, then I would include the town of Tonawanda and even the towns of Pendleton and Lockport just south of the city of Lockport.

If you don’t mind me asking, what town/community on Long Island did you live in?
In the Lockport area: https://www.apartmentfinder.com/New-...nor-Apartments

If you asked me which were the 2 worst areas of WNY to live in, Lockport and Niagara Fall would be at the top of my list.

Thanks bot. That really clarifies things. Lockport is far from everything. I know those apartments. You live in Syracuse and have no idea what Lockport is like. I have a business there since the mid 50's and know the area very well. Stop giving bad advice to pad your post totals. Leave it to people that actually live in the area instead of someone who lives 150 miles away.

Florida is now in the area...Anyway, Lockport is in an area that has lower snowfall totals on average than the rest of the area, OP. That is the case with Niagara County in general and it is still within close proximity to any bridge you would want to use, while still being close enough to shopping in Amherst and to Buffalo as well. Keep overexaggerated or generalized descriptions of areas in mind as well and I advise checking out these areas for yourself.

But Lockport is a dump. The city is a ghost town. I had a close friend there I visited many times. When we opened our business there in the 1950's the city was thriving. The main employer (Harrison Radiator) has a fraction of the employees it once had. Why do you keep recommending places you know nothing about? The point of this forum is to help people not pad your post totals.

Again OP, hopefully someone else will actually offer specific information that addresses the actual thread not other posters.

Ironically, some of the fastest growing towns in the metro area are adjacent to Lockport and Niagara Falls, OP. So, you’ve been suggested housing options in areas with comparably less snow to deal with(think in regards to someone driving and coming from SC), with population growth, that are in closer proximity to Hamilton, that are still reasonable drives to Buffalo, that are affordable, still have things to do in the immediate area(which have already been mentioned earlier in the thread) and have more of a built environment similar to what you are looking for or more in line with what you are use to(Medford on Long Island reference). Just something to keep in mind for yourself or others in a similar situation...
