Amherst is raising property taxes 7% Lancaster is raising property taxes 6.17% West Seneca is raising them 5% next year. and the word next year is most plan on raising property taxes double digits every year forever

I must say a lot of road work was done near my house this year. It was refreshing to see taxes go towards something.

It's being used to pay for the increasing costs of the government workers salarys, benefits, pensions & medical insurance, speaking of construction Erie County is borrowing $100's of millions to pay for road repairs and next year is borrowing $55 Million. That's what happens when the public sector unions own the politicians

Your profile says you live in the "heart of Dixie" which I assume means Alabama? If so, your state has the lowest property tax in the entire USA.

Then why did half of the new car dealerships close up in WNY within the last 10 years ? The City of Buffalo is so poor & crime infested that there's not even one new car dealership left in the city of Buffalo , Not One !! not even a Ford, Chevy, Kia
