A small portion...

"The typical household in Clarence is oh-so-close to making $100,000 a year, a distinction that no other Western New York community can come close to matching.

New federal statistics put Clarence’s median household income (MHI) at $99,630, which is far and away the highest figure in the eight-county region.

Pendleton is the distant runner-up with an MHI of $92,065, followed by Orchard Park at $90,962, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau."

That’s great maybe they can fix the horrible roads. Where does all the property taxes go from Clarence?

Maybe someone could explain to me why Clarence is the choice for those that can afford to live anywhere in the region? The terrain is flat and boring. No real village. I would think somewhere like East Aurora would be the choice of the elite.

Clarence is closer to things than East Aurora which is in the snow belt and far from everything, I lived in EA for years and everything was a long ride and that was before the Seneca Mall and McKinley issues. There is just Tops for shopping. Its a beautiful area and the village is charming. Clarence is closer to the Thruway, Williamsville, Canada much better shopping. Clarence used to have lower taxes (not sure about that now).I think the "elite" come from East Amherst and Williamsville which abut Clarence.

E Amherst and Williamsville seem much nicer than Clarence to me.

I'm pretty sure the Tops just shut down, in E Aurora.

When you say far away from things, that all depends. Maybe you like the snow. maybe you ski, snowboard or have a snowmobile. Heading towards the city isn't really that far, is it? To me, the landscape of EA is very southing for HOME, where you spend most of your time.

But I'd like to hear more comments.

Bull crap. You can get on the 400 and be in downtown buffalo in 20 minutes, plenty of stuff there to do. I grew up there. You can’t make it out of Clarence in 20 mins
