Anyone out there that would be willing to throw me some info and opinions on which areas and school districts are best for autism in or near Buffalo? We are a family of 4. Dad, mom (both work) and 2 boys. Our eldest boy is 9 and on the moderate to lower-functioning end of the Autism Spectrum and ADHD. Broad, I know. But any info is helpful!! Throw it all at me! Thanks a bunch!
Thank you for the info! The thread was helpful. Also the links. I’m finding there are several good resources for services. I would love to get some feedback on school districts.
Just curious, but I did mention information on another thread in another C-D forum. Is this just to see what options are available in other parts of the state?
Due to knowing about Autism based programs through BOCES in the Syracuse area, I checked out to see if Erie County has a BOCES program similar to the SKATE program in the Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES. If you go to page 23 of this Erie 1 BOCES Special Education information, West Seneca West Elementary in the West Seneca SD has a 6:1:1 classroom program: https://www.e1b.org/en/k-12-educatio...2022_PROOF.pdf
