Was up in Buffalo last week to see a Blue Jays Game. After having a Sahlen's dog I liked it so much, a wolfed down 2 more. Unbelievable taste. Am glad to know I can buy them locally here in the Philly area at Wegmans.

I've never had a Sahlens. My preference is Zweigles. Have you tried them? My favorite is the white pop open hots, but they might not have them outside of Rochester.

Will check them out. Down where I am at we always buy Sabrette or Nathans at the grocery store. Sahlens has it all over them 2.

In the Syracuse area, this is the brand: https://shop.wegmans.com/product/529...s-german-brand

https://hofmannsausage.com/

So, taste can be based depending on the region/area the hot dogs are made and where people are from up here.

You'll notice that all 3 are German descendant companies as well.

In fact, you may like this article that mentions the various hot dog companies/producers in Upstate NY: https://www.newyorkupstate.com/enter..._new_york.html

Sounds like you are a hot dog fan. If you're ever in Rochester, you should check this place out, and have a "garbage plate"

I picked up a package the other day to check them out. They had a good taste. I'm not qualified to say they were the best. I usually like white hots and with no toppings, so I did get a good sampling of the flavor. Just curious. What condiments did you have, and do you think that added to the flavor?

Guy over in town introduced Greenville to Zweigle's. He was laid off from his construction job here in '08, and decided to get a Zweigle's cart to sell hot dogs at the ball games. Next thing you know he had like 3 carts. I saw his cart on Main St. in '09, and had to pull over and check it out. He started selling packs of dogs from the cart, and was trying to negotiate with the company to be the distributor down here.

Weber's you can find at Costo, far as I know Columbia and Greenville. Wish we could get Sahlen's here.
