CK, do you think its just a coincidence that these projects are announced in an election year?
^ I would think she has the Buffalo vote locked in.
I don't see her paying as much attention (spending taxpayer money) to other parts of the state. I don't see how this announcement would help her. It looks to me like she doesn't feel she will win the election, so she's shoveling as much cash as she can Buffalo's way. I'm waiting for the new Peace Bridge announcement.

I don’t know, as these projects are planned years in advance. For instance, this article from2016 illustrates that there was likely a plan in the works: https://risecollaborative.com/rise/k...ssway-cap-fill That would also mean that Hochul would have been the Lieutenant Governor. However, that still doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t have had some influence and the fact that it is an election year doesn’t hurt.
They should also look at the Seajaquada Expressway to see if it can better blend into Delaware Park because in its current state, it is still too limited access.
I hated this expressway when we drove into Elmwood Village from Grand Island on our trip. The speed limit was only like 25 or 30 if I remember correctly, yet everyone was flying past us like we were standing still.

After a accident in 2015 where a 3 year old boy was killed and his sister critically injured the speed limit was lowered from 50 to 30.
