We are paying Hawaii gas prices in Buffalo.

I travel a lot, and we have the highest prices, period..

Its a shame, there are a lot of folks struggling here, and its a tax on everyone.

The stations closest to my house are $2.779 and thats the lowest around. Were paying about 60 cents per gallon in taxes alone.

I have to say its much better than the $4.259 the same stations were charging in mid July.

I had heard that price gouging has been going on in the buffalo area. Everywhere else in western NY the gas prices have gone down..except in the buffalo area. I guess people want to make a quick buck while they can.

Why aren't gas taxes the same as regular taxes? Same reason why cigarette taxes are at a different rate?

In NY everyone takes a bite. Federal, state and county. Some places only have federal and others have lower rates from the state.

Gas on the Seneca Reservation was only $2 today. Too bad the tank was already full.
