During the day you will be fine. Just keep your cash in a pocket, and make sure that no one sees money or expensive jewelry. Crime is pervasive throughout Buffalo, but that area is known as a safer one.

It's not the worst area of the city but I wouldn't want an older woman living there alone.
Or any age woman for that matter.

I would suggest asking your neighbors, talking to the Police Department and talking to the business owners. You will learn about your new neighborhood very quickly.
