Extreme Makeover Buffalo (neighborhood, live, island)

I watched the episode of Extreme Makeover last night featuring Buffalo's West Side Neighborhood. I was elated to see the amount of people that showed up to volunteer for the project. It was refreshing to see the positivity, love and general care for absolute strangers. There is no doubt in my mind that every person featured who received makeovers genuinely deserved them. My hat's off to everyone involved and the families who benefited.

I left Buffalo back in 1977, my grandparents lived on the westside (Rhode Island Str) The Italian neighborhood, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WESTSIDE??????????

How did things get that bad?

They were comparing Jamaca to Buffalo in the video montage before the demo......I could not tell the difference.......
