Has anyone ever applied and received a government grant for a small business? Was the process painful? Any advice?

Grants are rare for SB. SBA backed loans are common for established businesses.

Are you a minority owned business?

Are you at least 25 miles from an area that has 50,000 population? That vastly opens options from USDA Rural Economic Development.

Have you been to your local SBDC office yet? (Hosted by Land Grant college, they know where to get the bucks)
