What determines if a business is a small business or large business? Where is the point of change over from one to the other? Number of employees?? If so, how many?

500 employees, although there are some very big companies (assests, profits) that have less then that.

There is no firm definition.

It could employee numbers, revenue size, assets figure, or profit levels.

Many industries use the 500 employee cut off including quarrying, mining, gas, and oil companies. How the politicians decide is another matter.
