I'm a crafter and I want to develop my own website and add products to sell. I'm completely web design impaired so I'm searching for the best webpage software or website that will help me develop one. Has anyone used a particular one with success? I've heard of Weebly, but not sure if it's any good.

Raven, Take a look at etsy.com. It is used by many artists and crafters to sell items. If you want to set up your own website, you're looking at a bit of a learning curve. A basic website isn't difficult (will cost you about $55-75/yr, but adding "shopping cart" can get sticky.

My knifemaking website was hosted through Atlanta Virtual, they do a lot of knifemaker's sites so they're used to artisan type of hosting and the internet challenged. They're not the cheapest but it is tax deductible. They have great tech support and they stand behind their services. They do offer shopping cart pages and will assist in setting everything up. A couple of years ago they had serious issues with a server swap and crashed probably 100+ maker's sites. They gave 1 year free hosting to anyone that had problems and their CEO came onto the various custom knife sites and publicly apologized to customers and makers. Gotta admit that it's hard to find service like that.

One thing that some of my computer challenged friends do is to save an example page of HTML code as a word document and when they make changes to a page they just insert the changes into the example page and upload the document.

I set up a website through webs.com . It is all templated so easy to "design" your own. They have a free option so you can try it out to see if you like it. They have various paid upgrades too--many where you can set up billing/payments, etc. through the website. I don't use any of those features so not sure how easy they are.

I have a site on www.Wix.com. Its a flash site and you can very easily build it yourself for free or upgrade to a premium site. I love it. You just drop and drag.
