just started my first internship for a transport company, I have been tasked with organizing the data from truck departures. After organizing in excel, I have to conclude which day of the week and time of day our trucks get held up.

Can anyone suggest some formulas I can use in excel? Should I break down the averages of each terminal then graph the data? Please, any advice is greatly appreciated.

Quantify the delay time for trucks in your spreadsheet.

Split up the time frames in categories (every hour or 1/2 hour during each day).

Do a weighted average of delay times for each time category. Graph the weighted averages. Also, you can sort your categories descending by weighted average delay time. A pattern will probably emerge. And if not, you will see there aren't any important days/times that are causing delays.

Good luck.
