I am in the business planning stages of opening a small boutique. But, like many I'm struggling with a name. I had originally thought Hibou Bleu Boutique. However, it doesn't really reflect what I will sell. The store will primarily focus on handmade accesories and home decor, some made in the USA items (home decor), natural textiled products (i.e bamboo towels, etc.), and repurposed furniture and home decor with a simple island living theme (i.e. recylced glass, driftwood, etc). There will be primarily 4 small departments: home decor, bed & bath, kitchen and accesoories & gifts.

Any ideas on names would be great!!

Who is your target market? Young/hip women, SAHMs out shopping with friends/kids, retired ladies? That matters when choosing a name. What is the feeling you want people to get when thinking of your store? Unique? Natural? Fun? Quirky? That matters when choosing a name. Don't say "everyone" or "all women" because that's a sure loser. Put some real time into drawing up a picture of who your customers will be and why they will want to go to your shop (not that there won't be overlap but it's better to hit one niche well than be so-so for a wider audience). Then ask THOSE people about a good name. Or share with us your thoughts and ask again!

Good luck with your boutique, I hope it works out for you.
