Sure. It is called a credit line. I give my customers a credit line on my software (if they don't pay it goes dead) but not on hardware. Credit lines are only established once a customer has the start of a track record, and they always have a limit.

The question isn't really all that dumb. Using a credit line can be important.

How to answer a dumb question from a customer without sounding rude?

First of it's not a dumb question to them.

There's more than one way to sell a product.

Why have you not already figured out the answer before now ?

At least they are smart enough to first
ask questions before buying so they won"t be schocked.

Maybe your information is not as clearly written
as you THINK IT IS and that is why they are confused ...

They will know from your answers how you attitued is.

Some people just can't speeek splane for spluttering,
and uthers jus rites da sames sway.

GET THE POINT ... THINK BEFORE YOU .......... ...

I think your job is to keep the customer happy. Your boss didn't pay you to have fun.

Perhaps your ad is misleading, how do they know when it is shipped?

Perhaps change your notice.

Deposits accepted, full payment due before shipping.
