There are a ton of them. My favorite atm is called The Millionaire Fastlane This book would tell you that you should be selling parts online instead of, or in addition to having a physical shop, as you will probably make a lot more money that way. Even If a lot of money is not your main goal, the book has some very valid points about being self employed vs owning a business as well as many other subjects.

I'm sure that there are books that focus on your particular field. IMO, its a good I idea to start there.

An accounting class would help too.

OP: The point is that you can hire a CPA and lawyer and anyone else that might be needed for the nitty gritty.

I know business and accouting are intertwined but what should I concentrate on more?

Your strategy will be different according to the type of business - whether you buy into a franchise or start from the ground up. Whether you will have seed money, or you will be looking for a VC or an Angel Investor to fund you. In any case, if you want to get a feel for it early on, a good book is Small Time Operator by Bernard B. Kamoroff. I got it on Amazon, I'm sure it is still available.

It's smart to be looking ahead. Stay in school Good luck to you!

Although many people hate on Ferriss these days, I really do enjoy The 4hour Workweek. Even if you don't follow his plan, there are many valuable takeaways.

Persuasion: The Art of Influence..... great book.

How to make friends and Influence People.... classic book.
