I have a small business in orange county area since 4 years, selling Jewelry (Gold, Silver, Watches, Batteries (and Tobbacco Products / NYS Lottory, Westren Union may be some additional add ons to this business.) I am operating this business in a big store (a chain) (Daily store trafic is about 1000-1200 customers. Annual Gross sale of my business is almost $115,000. Profit margin in this business is more than 60% of gross sales. Rent is $1200/per month which includes all utilities except phone bill. No employess, I work by myself. No other expences. Now I want to sell this business because of moving to another state.I just wanna get it know that how much price should I ask for this business and which is best media(newspapers / online / websites) should i use to advertise for selling this buiness.? Thank You.

Just guessing because I am curious... No knowing the tax situation or how to value your salary I can only guess that the net profit of the enterprise in less than $10K a year. My guess is the business would sell for less than $100,000 plus inventory, but I suggest consulting with someone knowledgeable about small business sales in your area.
