I thought about doing an S Corp but you have to assign people to be President, CEO, etc if I'm not mistaken. You also have to have meetings, minutes, and taxes seem more complex.
I like an LLC in that taxes seem pretty straightforward and our business is an online business so don't really have much in the way of assets.
Rather than complicate things and increase expenses with an umpbrella corporation over an llc would a "Registrative Agent" be allowed in IL?
I'm new to this so may be using the lingo wrong or be confused about what this is but I thought I saw something about you being able to have a "Registrative Agent" who is either a company, lawyer, or CPA who basically is the owner of your LLC on paper but has no ownership basically just to disguise the ownership. Is that possible in IL? How to do it? What does it cost?

Talk with your CPA and an business attorney. I am not up to speed on Illinois laws.
