As a seller you need feedback.

When you are starting out on ebay most likely you are a buyer, then after awhile you decide you'd like to try selling, you sell quite a few items and now you want to keep selling.

You need to cross over the bridge and make separate accounts ID's for buying and selling

If you purchased an item on ebay you may want to resell it at a higher price for whatever reason and you do not want your future buyers to see what you purchased it for.

Start using your current 100% feedback buyer ID or buyer/seller to start selling with only

Create a new account for buying only (yes you are allowed to do this) you need to create another user ID

If you use two different email address for buyer and seller account will make it easier to see what is sold, if your email program allows you to choose different colors for senders mark your "if sender is person via paypal and topic is payment highlight it in green", you do not need to do this at first, wait till you get the hang of it.

A few things you absolutely need as a seller are shipping supplies, chances are you may be selling small items that can ship first class parcel and you only need a padded bubble envelope to ship your items.

Don't go to Walmart or Staples for bubble mailers the cost is too high

Look on ebay for bubble mailer's, poly bubble mailers or kraft bubble mailers, I like poly bubble mailers the best.

You find them but you don't need 100 of them or 50 or right? don't need that many yet..

What you can do is buy them and sell half of them or 25 at a time on ebay buying them using your buyer account and list them using your seller account sometimes you can find 50 of assorted sizes you may want to keep for yourself

Shipping tape is inexpensive on ebay also peanuts and packing bubble wrap.

If you don't need the big bag of packing bubble wrap (it comes on roll with tear off sheets) you can sell half of that or so many sheets, using your seller account bubble wrap is lightweight and ships easily, usually when you receive it, it will come in a large plastic bag, you can ship it the same way if you'd like or ship in a box it should weigh under 13 oz so you can ship First class parcel

You can do the same thing with buying shipping labels, these can be shipped in a large bubble mailer or large brown office envelope, priority mail flat rate envelope is not that expensive to ship to a buyer.

You can also sell/list ½ or ¼ of all your shipping supplies as shipping supplies, mailers, tape & bubble wrap lot.

If you sold some of these and lost a few dollars it's really not so bad, think of what you would have paid at Walmart or Staples for them.

Just make sure you pack & ship your bubble mailer's etc within 2 business days and use a label created on ebay.

Now you receive feedback as a buyer on your buyer account and usually will receive good feedback from your buyer on your seller account

You may find a cosmetic lot for sale or something other like that, use your buyer account for this and when your turn it over to sell use your seller account to list it.

During November & December children's DVD's sell well, new or used in like new or very good condition, you may find these at a good price on ebay now.

Another thing to consider, look at your ebay account, communication preferences, will see your email addresses, you will see your registered email address you must have that one.

Look under that will see send messages to buyers, receive messages from buyers, you may want to use another email address for those, after awhile when you've been selling you may not want these messages to go to your registered email address, most likely you use that same address for other important emails

Hope this helps someone
