There may be some truth in that - some personality types will do very well in school but cannot translate that school success into the real world. But in my experience good grades often go hand in hand with work ethic, and I would think that people who work harder are more likely to be successful. And of course there's nothing that says you can't simultaneously work hard and take tests well while still being creative and entrepreneurial.
Yeah... I mean Bill Gates or Steve Jobs or even Karl Rove? All A+++ students (okay, maybe Karl Rove was only a regular A student), just had better things to do than get a degree.

He could write a book full of examples of A's working for C's and he'd be right.

Someone else could write a book full of examples of C's working for A's and they'd be right.

He has a target audience. He reaches his audience.

Well put. The real question isn't if A's work for C's or C's work for A's. The real question is how to be the one at the top!

Another interesting question is: why do C students buy and read books written by shysters?
