It seems to be more the rule than the exception, that I have experienced businesses or professionals who simply do a bad job either because they are incompetent, careless or are scamming. It's all over the place, from doctors to lawyers to tech support to hotels to restaurants to contactors to mechanics. You can never trust that just because you pay someone for a product or service that it will work or they know what they are doing. I don't understand how or why this is. Sure there are reputable businesses and professionals out there, but it's common to find ones that aren't.

I think eventually these businesses/services go under. It just takes time for word to get around or bad reviews to be read. With so many people reviewing their experiences on-line on review sites this could be very dangerous for any business that does not provide good products and/or services. The public has so many choices now and people are more careful where they spend their money.

-Cheers.

When you find one, let them know. Show your appreciation by continuing to do business with them. Many close friendships were started through business relationships. Fire the ones that don't measure up.

It is very frustrating OP. For the majority of the time when I have to hear incorrect information or ridiculous explanations, get poor service and so much incompetence and errors, it is usually from large corporations. Do we as consumers really have
that many choices with services like utilities, phone/internet services, auto/home insurance, clothing (other than
expensive designer ware)? Unless more people call or write to complain, I doubt things will get better.
I do find that going to independently owned businesses do a much better job because the owners are there and
care about customer satisfaction.
