Can you imagine a time when Pizza Hut was actually a single hut? Neither could we, but the folks over at Mental Floss compiled a great list of the original locations of a variety of fast-food chains that have since swept across the globe, assimilating all before them in Borg-like fashion.

Thanks for posting! I especially like that interior photo of the first Wendy's ...so cool! ..

I think these places should never get closed down and should be preserved as museums or national historic places!

Fast Food is a huge part of American culture!

I like the way the White Castle buildings used to look like. Pretty cool. California is where many fast food chains started. I guess the car culture has something to do with that.
