jobs go to places where it is easier and lower cost to do business...isn't rocket science, of course the left-wing lunatic extremists running this state will never understand it.

Rick Perry can't create jobs any more than Brown can.

What a state can do is make it more attractive for employers. That's it. Some companies will start here and grow, others will move.

Tesla will build its battery plant somewhere other than CA because it makes economic sense to do so.

That's why Apple routes iTunes revenue through a subsidiary in Luxembourg. They want to avoid CA income taxes, among other things. That CA isn't fighting harder to keep the Tesla plant in the state is rather shocking.

California Cheerleaders: "We don't care about blue collar jobs moving to cheap low class states like Texas."

Spare us the pearl clutching. We know what "friendlier business environment" is code for.

California's doing fine. I just hate to see that asshat Perry get rewarded for his poaching. Heard he's the target of a grand jury investigation, for promoting a " friendlier business environment", by trying to squeeze the a state official out, to make way for one of his business chums.

Hopefully, they'll indict his "Oops" ass.

Its fact that californa is expensive, there is no way around it but there are multiple reasons for it. One day, Dallas will become "expensive" just by nature of growth, then companies will flee to cheaper areas like detroit and the cycle begins again...

When Toyota closed it's auto plant in Fremont CA it shifted a lot of production to Texas... most figured it was just a matter of time for the headquarters to follow.

It's batteries and many I know here in the Bay Area don't want a battery plant here.

Many former battery plants are Superfund sites and several are in the Bay Area and one is constantly in the news because the soil remains contaminated after several clean up attempts over decades... Exide in Oakland.

For better or worse... the mention of a battery plant opening will bring out protests.
