I love people with an agenda, especially those too lazy to read the article.

I read the article, but I was commenting on an offshoot. I also worked in a bank and my job was to start SBA loan applications. I talked with the SBA weekly, I learned how to get loans through.

I have many friends who have small business and not one got an SBA loan. So how is that? Qualifications?

Back when I was in banking you had to have some sort of collateral. We gave out SBA loans all the time, but all the people had property we could foreclose on if they went belly up. And we worked with them all the time to make sure they didn't go belly up. They had account managers who helped them oversee the business if they needed it.

And the only loan and business during my eight years that went under? His account manager found a buyer for the business, so the guy didn't lose his house.
