Does anyone have any tips on finding existing businesses to evaluate and potentially purchase? I see a few business broker sites but they all seem to share the same listings. Thoughts?

Businesses FSBO will often just place an ad in the local paper, trying to save money by not paying commission to a broker.
When I bought my business it was from an ad in the Seattle Times. I know other people that have bought by simply walking in and asking an owner if they might be interested in selling.
