Not sure if you guys heard about this story. Amazon is suing over 1,000 sellers from the website Fiverr who sold fake Amazon reviews to people wanting to artificially boost up their product or ebooks Amazon reviews.

Not the first time Amazon has gone after people for this but in the past it was people who started websites like "BuyAmazonReviews" this time they are going after the "little guy" selling on Fiverr. Will be interesting to see what happens. NY State Attourney recently did an FCC sting and fined people over 330k a piece for violating the disclosure in reviws/advertising rules.

I imagine Amazon is trying to make an example of these people. Reminds me when music companies first starting comming after Napster people.

Good, because Free Market does not mean free to commit fraud and deceive.

I think it's interesting Amazon is going after the sellers and not the companies buying these reviews. I wonder if we'll see Amazon cleaning house and removing all reveiws left from these users IP addresses and/or profiles.
