Cars might be cheaper, but it is not an enormous difference. Not like a $50,000 car costs $28,000 across the state line.
What I've done well with in the past is a credit union negotiated better price for membership. I belong to a very large national club that has a very nice negotiate price on Chevy pickups.
There is a Costco price for members, although I haven't compared to see how good it is.
