A better way to learn the basics is by gaining experience before we get to invest our full time and effort into a new business venture. One way to start is switching careers to one in your target industry and also by talking to your future customers. This may help in taking responsibility on customer service and gaining first hand knowledge of how they think, act and spend.

This is also true! there is no requirement to have experience of the industry in which you are setting up a business. You can have no knowledge of experience but you can have plenty of ideas as to how the customer experience could be improved and this is all you need to start imagining. Creating a business with no experience is not holding anyone's back, in fact is an opportunity to bring radical change to an industry.
