The problem I see with Musk is the big (so far) unfilled "promise" of an affordable car.
There is no question in my mind those high priced $100,000 machines are amazing. But how many years ago did he promise a $35,000 car with 200+ mile range? To date has anybody taken delivery on a $35,000 Model 3? As far as I know its only $60,000 plus upgraded versions. But since he started talking about a $35,000 200+ mile electric car GM went ahead and built one we can actually buy. He seems to have an almost cult like following and if anyone dares question or criticizes him the cult gets pretty riled up.
