Yep. Looked into them, the potential problems with online implementation of my software, said "Nope" and never looked back. More power (and luck) to those who take that plunge.

I didn't mean that in a technical sense. As with so many other things, being able to bang out an app using building blocks is step 1... of 100. But way too many people mistake that E-Z process for representing the whole path, be it a website, Kindle publishing, apps, a YouTube channel, whatever... even a turnkey franchise.

Nothing beats having marketing and sales as a one-two punch. Cold calling without some kind of efforts to get your name out is drives up your cost of sale and drives down your odds of success. Marketing generates warm leads. Sales converts them into customers.

And nothing beats an inhale following an exhale.

Missed my point. Many think that just flinging a bunch of sales guys out into the market is the way to boost sales. In the absence of an actual strategy, along with marketing to actually stimulate curiosity and demand, it's pretty much a surefire way to guarantee failure or, at best, be incredibly inefficient.

Okay, all due respect here, but you keep throwing out very generic paragraphs that don't really connect to what's being asked or discussed.

Start over, read slowly and see if you still disagree with my first post (#2) - which no, was not two thousand words of marketing theory, but a considered, very experienced answer to a specific short question.

You want to tutor the guy from the basics up, go right ahead... but if you're going to post disconnected fragments, save the typing effort.

Also note that the OP has never returned. Maybe my advice was just so darned good it left him with no further questions.
