There is actually middlemen for buying/sellling websites. Websites like Quiet Light, FE International, etc etc are brokers but instead of RE they do websites.

But what kind of small/under the radar websites are they selling? What kind of small/under the radar websites are actually worth buying and selling?

Obviously, there is the Youtubes, Facebooks, Amazons, but I doubt that is what these brokers are peddling.

Is this basically just a pump and dump scheme for websites? Like someone just makes up some fancy/trendy site, generates some buzz, get some hits, and then sell to some unsuspecting buyer.

Can you sell/buy youtube vlogs? Those are very popular, and apparently generate a lot of revenue for the vlogger. Or is Porn websites what is mostly being sold. There are lots of those out there.

Or like internet forums. I used to frequent this one forum, that has a good amount of visitors, and they have ads everywhere. But how many forums can there possibly be out there worth buying/selling for there to be enough transactions to create the necessity/existence of middlemen?

It's hard to know because they withhold so much information about what they're selling. I am skeptical about their Amazon FBA offerings. I'm an 8 year Amazon FBA seller.

Could be. Trust no one. Assume they're looking for suckers.

The reality is these kinds of transactions at the multimillion dollar level usually happen privately, not on a public site.

Some of the websites they are selling for under $1mil are product reviews, or Blogs or at least that is what is stated on their page. There are some FBAs that sell cosmetics, footwear, or health products.

But at that valuation is the buyer not just essentially purchasing the product stockpiles itself from another middleman? As for product review, and blogging, buying seems like just becoming the main sponsor for the writer, presenter, or person in charge of overall direction who is often the founder. And the buyer assumes all the risk too.
