This seems to be a very attractive price for a company in an industry with very little internet erosion.

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Les Schwab Tire Centers, one of the most iconic Central Oregon-born companies and the region's third-largest private employer, announced Thursday it has put itself up for sale, a deal that analysts say could fetch up to $3 billion.

Privately held, but very strong financials / reputation / business model, will be even more of a bargain if it includes it's very prime Real Estate holdings throughout the western states. I hope they can retain their company culture in the future. (Customer service, quality products)

They should bundle quick lube and car wash with the tires. I dont think there is a big chain vehicle service in the NYC metro. There is a lot of independent mechanics, and then the dealers. Dont the car dealers out west offer service plans?
