Well, 18 stores closed today, including Boston. But others remain...for now.

With this latest round of L&T store closings, there will be one L&T store left in the Chicago area. As recently as a dozen years ago, there were 7 L&T stores in the Chicago market. Chicago had the largest concentration of L&T stores, after NYC.


This remaining Chicago area store will be L&T's only location in the Midwest.

On Aug. 27, it was announced by Le Tote, which is the parent company of Lord & Taylor, that all L&T stores and their website will be closing.
