Any one of these could be right. I have a hard time believing that they are going to do it internally. They cut the staff down from 25-30 people to 8. Everyone is doing multiple jobs and is stressed. The HR, CS, and VP guys are asking me for an update and what is going on with the owner. Shy of someone studying html, java, css, etc and connecting that with the proper marketing & site development based on years of experience, I cant see it. I will be the first to say that anyone can be replaced... anyone....so sure it is possible. That said, for them to do it internally pushes it off 6-9 months.

Maybe some things are just so messed up that there is no logical reason and I have to accept that.

It sounds like the business is in survival mode right now. The owner may be so focused on preserving his core business that he has no desire to think about alternative ideas right now, even if they appear to help his bottom line.

DC at the Ridge has what I think is the most plausible answer. There is also a possibility that the inventory is not properly represented, and that selling it would open up a can of worms.

There is also the possibility that the owner has taken a dislike to you. It happens. I've always found it interesting how owners will steer business towards incompetent people they know, rather than take a chance on someone they don't know.

Well I sent over one last request with no response. Not even a "No thanks". They have done nothing on their end yet...go figure.

Time for the next project. Anyone need to hire an experienced web designer and mutlimillion dollar e-commerce business owner on a comission basis?
