Does anyone know or can tell me the easiest way, or know of someone whom can help obtain a govt grant. I hear its free money

There are books on the subject. If you want free, try the public library.

O, and be careful; they're not all "free." Some you have to pay back.

It has a lot to do with what you want the grant for. That will depend on where you look, and which application you fill out. You should also search the existing threads, there are several with relevant information on this topic.

FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Be aware, though, that if you are under the age of 24, you'll still need your parents' tax return info, even if you live on your own.

Grants do not need to be repaid, unless you drop courses during the first few weeks of class (I think). Loans need to be repaid. You can receive grants for some tech/vocational schools and academic classes.

I'm not so sure how to apply and dont feel the motivation to find out. But one thing is for sure, if you start off your application with "yo" your application will be sure to be filed in the garbage can.
