I worked a couple of years as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Montreal.
I want to relocate in Alberta, probably Calgary, in Feb/March of 2016.
I started to look for jobs in my field.
Sadly, the Health care system is not managed the same way than in Quebec.
In Quebec, you contact the HR of the hospital you want to work for, they take your C.V. and give it to right department. It is very personal and efficient. You can find a job months in advance.
But in Alberta, there is the AHS. It seems to control everything in the province.
I am a little bit confused.
Is there anyone working in the health care industries ? Does everything has to pass throught AHS ? Is it the only place to look for a job in a hospital ? Is there a way to contact a specific department directly ?
