Setting aside for a second the fact that your link was wholly irrelevant to how banks fund small businesses, you have literally no idea what the SBA Loan program is, do you? You have literally no idea what you are talking about and literally no idea how many extremely productive, hard working people you just put out of business and into the job pool, literally no idea how many employees just got laid off because their employers no longer can borrow money from banks through the SBA Loan program, and literally no idea how many mom and pop operations you just killed.

Congratulations, good sir, your spoon-fed anti-government beliefs just increased unemployment significantly with absolutely no way of ever pulling out of it because you just stopped the flow of money from banks to small businesses. How tremendously Anti-American of you.

Because business were never able to get loans before sba. Believe it or not, our society functioned before the government became the only solution to problems. Banks would still be able to give loans without the sba, unless you believe banks sole purpose is to be an intermediary between people and sba? Maybe just get rid of the banks completely and we can just get our loans directly from the government. Take out the middle man and think about all the money we could save.

That part of the post is satire.

So any system that worked in 1952 or prior (a time when there were 160,000,000 fewer Americans in existence), in your opinion of course, that was greatly improved by the government to allow a significant number of Americans to start businesses (you know, the whole American Dream thing I'm sure you'd claim to miss as well), we should get rid of because of your irrational fear of a giant faceless government?

If the program didnt exisit banks would fill the void, you know, capitalism and such. People would still get loans because money is made giving loans, I know, more crazy talk.

And what would happen to interest rates, now that the government isn't backing these less-than-$1m loans?

The market would establish the rates.

Explain how (you're right, but I don't think you know why). And then, answer my question. What would happen to interest rates now that the loans would not be guaranteed to small businesses that had qualified for them under a rigorous system you just abolished?

Small businesses go down in free-market Darwinian flames.
