I heard Whole Foods now has a store called Whole Foods Express. They range from 15,000 to 25,000 sq. ft. The larger markets are 25,000-50,000sq. ft. Santa Cruz's store is at 32,000 sq. ft. Santa Barbara's is at 25,000 sq. ft. The one Monterey is at 30,000 sq. ft. The one in Capitola is at 23,000 sq. ft.

There are plans for a 36,000 sq. ft. store next to Target and 15,000 sq. ft. market in downtown in Garden Street Terrace.

Also, Fresh N Easy is going into Village at Broad at 10,000 sq. ft. No news about the market at Garden Street Terraces. We should know by the end of the year if Whole Foods Express is going in or some other tenet.

And I like chains because they are cheaper than local stores.

I support some local businesses too. Please don't forget the good sides of both. Big companies provide more revenue for cities. Plus the big companies hire people from this area to run them. And Whole Foods says they treat their employees so good that they don't need a union.

New Frontiers is now going to close their original location. And some developer I heard sent in plans for a Whole Foods for review. And I heard New Frontiers original location is in a high-rent area. Good place for Whole Foods?

Biz Buzz: New Frontiers’ big move is in November - Business - SanLuisObispo.com

The old location is at 15,000 sq. ft. and would be good for a smaller market like the one in Mill Valley and Laguna Beach.

Other ideas in where Whole Foods can go?

Is anything going to close like the Ralph's, a pharmacy like one of the Rite-Aids, or are their office buildings Whole Foods could end up occupying?

Perhaps the old New Frontiers' location and the downtown spot are too small for them.

I heard H&M will replace Borders. I still don't know if Whole Foods will replace the old New Frontier's building.

Thanks.
